Summary

The mechanical services installation works was a continuation from the works carried out in the Newton sub-basement plant room
(phase 1).

The Nottingham district primary heating services were removed from the following Arkwright main and Arkwright computer basement plant rooms. A new constant temperature heating flow and return circuit was installed from the new secondary heating header circuit in the Newton sub-basement and services the Arkwright main, including the computer plant rooms.

In each Arkwright plant room the existing shell and tube heat exchanges were removed and replaced with brazed plate heat exchanges and associated pumps, controls, pressurisation equipment for the sub-circuits.

The constant temperature heating circuit serves The Arkwright, Maudsley and Barns Wallis systems.
